Fashion Design Council of India held this years India Couture Week 2016 at the Taj Palace Hotel New Delhi from July 20- July 24, 2016. It is said to be country’s biggest style extravaganza showcasing the best couturiers in the industry through 10 shows. One of the top designers showcasing his collection was Gaurav Gupta and Saiyami Kher was the showstopper for their Scape Song collection.
Their colour palette that ranged from the deep blues of seas to the azure of skies, followed by the romantic tones of blush pink, lavender and pistachio green.
Gaurav Gupta’s marketing team got in touch with A Piece of Paris to do Macarons for their show. The brief was to do macarons to match the theme of their collection which was Indo western (colours being pastel and flavours to be Indian).
Sonal Goel Chopra took this challenge and withing a day, she turned around with macarons which exactly matched the color palate of their collection launch. These flavours/colours options were exclusive for the designer who loves to offer exclusivity himself. We finally did a Rose flavour in a Violet rose colour, a mint flavour in a powder blue and a pistachio flavour in a subtle green.
And to top it off, the magic that Sonal does with her creativity, the macarons were adorned with designs and gold dust to give them that elan for the show. The boxes were a great complement and the perfect giveaway for the uber special guests at the show.
Later we also did macarons for the Vogue Wedding Show, Taj Palace Delhi & DLF Emporio Couture Weddings, Delhi
